Bounce Houses and Basketball

We had a full day Saturday, starting out with Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  I will be adding those soon!  After decorating we headed to our cousin Payton's birthday party.  She turned seven years old.  The kids were so excited to go to one of their favorite places, Royal Jump.

After the party we headed to Grand Saline, to watch Aunt Mae-Mae's basketball team play in the championship game of their tournament.

They ended up with a win, and won 1st place.

 

After the game we headed down the road to Edgewood to watch the Panthers boys basketball teams in their tournament, the kids were troopers after three basketball games that day! We enjoyed dinner with friends at a great restaurant called The Lumberjack.  A great Saturday!

 

 

ALDS,,,A Date with Hagen.

Saturday, October 2nd, Game #2 of the ALDS. The Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Last minute, Aunt Mae Mae called and was offered tickets to the game! Erik was already working in Tyler that day, so we decided I would go with my sister and take Hagen. I have such a great husband. My mom watched Harper and Cooper until Erik got home, and Hagen and I were off on our "date" at the ballpark. I love the playoff atmosphere, we had gone to towo ALCS games last year and a World Series game. I am so lucky to have a sister who just happened to coach the daughter of one of the Ranger coaches and gets the oppurtunity to by tickets from them at times. Hagen, was beyond excited when I told him Saturday morning where were going.

Football, Egg Hunts and Trot lines

Saturday, I woke up feeling alot better and was so thankful because we had a busy day ahead of us. First Erik took the boys that morning to get last minute hair cuts, and thankfully there was no wait at the barber shop. As soon as they got home, we headed to the football field because Hagen was having his last football game before the end of the season tournament next weekend. However, the other team did not show up, so our coach just held a short practice on the field. After the football practice we were on our way to Presley and Quaid's Easter Egg Hunt. Cooper was so excited! He LOVES Presley.

We had such a great time at the party and I am so thankful to Keeley for putting it on.

After the party we headed to my parent's house, the boys had some fishin' to do! Harper and I stayed at the house and visited with my mom and sister Blaire while Erik took the boys to the lake where my other sister Meghan was fishing.

Can anyone tell me what my sister is cleaning? Yes that is right we had mountain oyesters right out of my dad's lot along with our fish that night.

After dinner that night, the boys were so excited to color Easter eggs.
However, Hagen lost interest before I could grab the camera.

What a geat Saturday, and wonderful fun with friends and family.

Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

Yes! Spring is here. I am so excited to be outside with my now "3" children. Last Friday we decided to take an adventure to the Dallas Zoo. My sister, Meghan, aka. "aunt Mae-Mae", was out on spring break and she thought it would be a great adventure. So off we went on our little field trip. Our first one since the arrival of baby Harper. I did get a little sinking feeling in my stomach when we arrived and saw approx. 15 school busses lined up in the parking lot. Mae-Mae and I were going to have our work cut out for us. But I do have to say, Harper did great and my boys were so well behaved, I breathed a sigh of relief. We had a great time!

Feeding the Giraffes. As you can see right about the time we started to feed them, we got mobbed by a bunch of 4ft. tall aliens, aka. kindergartners. I was amazed how the Giraffes just came right up to you.

The Zoo has an exhibit right now, "Ghosts of the Bayou". This was perfect for Hagen. Those of you who don't know, Hagen loves the show,"Swamp People", on the History Channel. For Christmas he actually asked for a toy swamp boat, where he could go what he calls, "swamping". We live in East Texas, but not deep East Texas, there are no Bayou's in Mabank. However, there is a large lake where my friend Lauren's dad actually caught an Alligator a few years back. Maybe I should let Hagen go fishing with Mr. Tommy?
