Flag Football begins...

It is March and our second season of flag football has begun. This year I nominated Erik to coach, but really it is a joint effort between all the dads. It is so great to see them all out there! Hagen is really loving football and really is focusing better this year.

Before the game begins..

Warming up..

Getting ready to snap the ball.

Nanny and Harper cheering Hagen on..

Aunt Blaire and Cooper cheering for the Packers.

Erik and his coaching skills at work;)

This is sure to be a great season for the boys.

A busy two weeks with no camera!

What a busy but fun December we have had! So so many things going on over the last few weeks, and of course it seems that I have forgot my camera at every event. So, I have decided to write a quick recap of the past few weeks events, just for the record.

November 29th,
The Advent party at Leslie's house. What a blessing this has been during christmas. My friend Leslie invited 24 people to take part in this daily devotional, and hosted an ornament exchanging party at her house. We each made 24 identical ornaments to swap at the party. After swapping each person had a complete set of 24 ornaments matching each Advent story. Every night our family participated in a nightly devotional and hung an ornament on the tree.

December 3rd,
A great day celebrating our cousin's Payton 4th birthday. It was so great to see family from out of town, my cousin Chris and his wife Danielle and there sweet little one year old son Jaxson. We had a wonderful Saturday.

December 8th,
Erik's 36th birthday. We had a great time celebrating at Primos with our friends Lancce and Brennan.

December 16,
Hagen's class Christmas party.. Yes I forgot my camera in the hurrying of running in the school in the rain, and my brand new camera card I had just bought for it. There were so many parents their and Erik even got to come. What a fun afternoon in Mrs. Busby's kindergarden class.

Camping

Friday, October 21st we headed off for our first family camping trip (other than to the deer lease). After picking Hagen up from school on Friday, we finished loading up and off we went. KK was gracious enough to keep Harper for the weekend. So it was just Erik and I and the boys. We were excited. We were joining some friends of ours and their family at Whispering Trails just outside of Tyler. We took our 5th wheel that Erik uses for Deer Hunting, it is probably around 20 years old. When we arrived in Tyler and stopped we noticed we were missing something...
Yes part of our door must have blown off while travleing down I-20. I sure hope it did not cause any accidents!

Riding bike, having fun and meeting new friends.

Riding down to the pumpkin carving contest with Trace, Trent and Michelle.

Picking their stencils, ready to carve.

Cleaning the "guts" out. Yucky...Says Cooper, not show sure about it..

Mommy and Daddy carving away.

Trent was a winner..

Pumpkins galore.

Hagen and Cooper with their finished products.

Later, that afternoon the RV resort hosted a hay ride for the kids with trick or treating around the park. The boys were so excited to get to wear there costumes for the first time.
Green Lantern and Superman. My Superhero's

Travis, Trent, Trace, Hagen and Cooper.

On the trailor, ready to trick or treat.

We had a wonderful weekend, even though late Saturday night it came thunderstorm and our trailor sprung a few weeks. We have fallen in Love with camping. The boys had the best time and we can not wait to go back soon!

The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday, October 8th we headed to the pumpkin patch in Canton for the afternoon. We have been going to this place since Hagen was 1 1/2. It is grown so much over the last few years, and the boys really enjoy going.

Picture time! They were such troopers, they could not wait to go play.

Sweet big brothers.

Happy girl.

My sweet kids, and Cooper with his blue shoes. I guess you choose your battles!

Sweetness.

Rides!

Entering the Corn Maze.

Stops and card punches. Learning farming facts.

Daddy and Harper Kate.

What a great time we had at the pmpkin patch. Later that night, we had the Mcmannus' and the Donnells over over and enjoyed pulled pork and brisket. The boys played outside until well after dark. There were seven boys and one girl at our house! A great Saturday.

A new Ladder for the Boys.

We have a loft in the top of the boys toy room that runs all the way to their bedroom. It is so cool, full of bookshelves and an extra area to play. We have been waiting until they were old enough to build a ladder where they could get up there and play. My "handy" husband actually built our new ladder himself.

The boys decided that it needed to be painted red, because it was going to be the ladder into their fire station. I was hoping for white, but they are only little once, right?

A work in progress.

They have used their new ladder many times in the last week, and love their new "fire station"

Dove Hunting 2011

Friday, September 9th, the time had arrived. The long awaited dove hunting trip to Ballinger. Erik, Hagen, Cooper along with our good friends the McMannus', Scott, Grant and Coy, left Friday afterschool for their big trip. Before making it to West Texas, they stopped off in Arlington to attend a Ranger's game. After the game, they headed to Ballinger, an arrived around 2 am. Of course, the boys slept the whole way so they were ready to go that morning. They had a great time on their trip, I tried to talk Erik into blogging about it, seeing that I was not there, but he did not take me up on the offer. He did however take the camera and get some great pictures.

Hagen with his "mojo". And no, I had no idea what they were called. But apparently, they are called "mojos"???

The boys ready to dove hunt.

Hagen shooting with "Mr. Scott".

Hagen and Coy.

Cooper and Daddy learning how to shoot.

Grant with his dove.

Hagen and Cooper with their "dove". They did not kill these themselves, but let's just play like they did.

Hagen and Cooper hanging out.

The Ballinger "Ritz Carlton".

As you can see they all had a wonderful time, and they can not wait until deer season. Harper Kate, Christina and I stayed home. We had a great weekend with crafts, shopping and a movie.
