Harper Kate is here!

Well, she is finally here! The Tijerina's finally have a baby girl, Harper Kate Tijerina made her way into the world on Dec. 21, 2010 at 1:01 PM.   We arrived at the hospital at 6 am that morning, and induced labor, just to make sure we would be home by Christmas!! Let me just say, it is probably a good thing Erik does not care if we have more children, because she was my most difficult birth yet!! MY EPIDURAL DID NOT WORK!! Does anesthesia give refunds on that kind of thing?? However, now that the traumatic  experience has passed ;) we are so thrilled that God has placed a special little girl in our lives.

                                                              Erik, Cooper and Harper....
Cooper loves his sister, especially putting bows in her hair, yes I know his daddy is so proud! The days leading up to Harper's arrival, Cooper was very confused with The Nativity Story he had been learning at church. He was convinced that Baby Jesus, was coming out of "mommy's tummy" and we were going to lay him in a hay baler (which is what he calls a manger). Don't worry he was not dissapointed when Harper came out instead.
Erik is head over heels for his little girl, I am thinking I may have been replaced as princess of the house!!

Hagen and Harper
Hagen is the classic oldest child, caretaker and loves his little sister, always wanting to hold her and never wants her to cry. He has such a sweet wonderful caring heart.

Coming home from the hospital Dec. 22
She wore an ivory smocked Strasburg dress, light leopard tights:) and burgandy satin shoes to match her hairbow, she also had a matching blanket, which was MBM (made by mommy) to match her attire.
